Dia, a FREE and OPEN-SOURCE 2-D "general-purpose diagramming software", available for "Windows, OS X, Linux, Unix"* operating systems.
LibreCAD, a FREE and OPEN-SOURCE 2-D computer-aided design (CAD) software, available for "Windows, macOS, Unix-like [including Linux]"* operating systems, forked from QCAD, which I used previously.
GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program), a FREE and OPEN-SOURCE 2-D raster graphics editor, available for "Linux, macOS, Windows, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, Solaris, AmigaOS 4"* operating systems. Although "not designed to be used for drawing, [...] some artists and creators have used it in this way"*—indeed, myself included!
Inkscape, a FREE and OPEN-SOURCE 2-D vector graphics editor, available for "FreeBSD[,] Linux[,] macOS[,] Windows"* operating systems.
Blender, a FREE and OPEN-SOURCE 3-D "computer graphics software tool set used for creating animated films, visual effects, art, 3D-printed models, motion graphics, interactive 3D applications, virtual reality, and, formerly, video games"*, available for "Linux[,] macOS[,] Windows[,][...] BSD[,][...][...][...] Haiku[...]"* operating systems.
